What is LIFT-O-MAT
LIFT-O-MAT springs use compressed nitrogen to provide smooth movement without rigid mid-stroke locking. They are used where a flap must be lifted, held open and lowered gently.
The force curve is predictable: higher at the start of stroke, lower at the end — easing heavy lid lift and hinge load. End switches and position sensors can be integrated when required.
Stabilus part numbers are numeric codes (e.g. 083399). VST marking encodes diameters, stroke, length and force — e.g. VSTS-818-100-285-600N.
